Tread Conditioning
The tread of the rail wheels is the core of a smooth and safe passenger or freight transport over varying track layouts.
To prevent flat spots on the wheel surface, we have developed a new RAILPROTECTOR solid lubricant stick, which continuously presses against the tread, thereby maintaining a constant friction value. This protects the running surface and prevents damage.
Flange Lubrication
Flange lubrication or rail flank lubrication is used in rail vehicles to reduce wear on flanges and rails and to reduce noise. It also minimizes the chance of climbing, which can lead to derailments. Particularly in tight bends, high frictional forces arise between the wheel flange and the rail flank, leading to wear. With the use of our innovative solid lubricant stick RAILPROTECTOR, wear and noise can be minimized and the wheels’ service life can be significantly increased.
